Now he's on the phone with his family in Sweden,
checking up on little Swedish sister Ann's health status.
(She's nearly all better.) I'm in here typing up this entry
and only out of the corner of my ear hearing him speak to
Ann about her experiences in the hospital.
My Swedish language
skills are poor enough that I automatically tune out the
conversation and hear it only as meaningless background noise
if I'm not concentrating on it. Occasionally,
English words get scattered into the conversation if
Pär doesn't know a Swedish equivalent for them, and that
sometimes catches my attention again. This is what I just
heard:
Pär: "Bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork
bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork bork
bork... alien probe."
